Cytospin fluid is formulated with a mixture of alcohol and carbo-wax. This combination helps to maintain and enhance cellular embedded in fixated tissue, as well as guard it against airdrying artifacts. It is routinely used to fix aspirated cells and those obtained through urine and bronchial washings. An application of cytospin fluid will store the given sample for weeks without any adverse effects.
Decalcifier is predominantly used to remove calcium and minerals on bone marrow tissues in preparation for the embedding of a fixation agent. Fixation time will vary based on the size of the specimen undergoing an application, with the larger, denser bones requiring much longer decalcifying times.
URS Dropper plus POC Dipstick Urine Controls are used to transfer urine samples onto Urine Reagent Test Strips when testing for drugs of abuse. Levels I and II, 5ml each.
Fix-d-cal is an original Kyron Sciences formalin that acts decalcifier as well as a tissue fixative for boney tissues. The formic acid and sodium citrate are used to gently dissolve the boney elements of the tissue while simultaneously retaining excellent soft tissue morphology. Then, its formalin component provides detailed fixation without a secondary additive.
Formalin neutralizer is used to neutralize toxic chemicals in buffered fixatives, both depleting the risk of formaldehyde-based fluids/vapors and making them safe for drain disposal. Neutralization time varies between a few minutes to a few hours based upon the volume of the applicable waste.

It is intended for use at point of care facilities to detect the presence of IgG antibodies specific to Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in human blood or serum. It provides an aid in the diagnosis of infection by H. pylori.
H. pylori is a major cause of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Eradication of the infection in individuals will improve symptoms including dyspepsia, gastritus and gastric ulcers, and may prevent gastric cancer. While there are several methods of detecting H. pylori, biopsy testing using rapid urease is considered to be the “Gold Standard” for detecting active H. pylori infections.
Hartman’s fixative is often used as a safer and more efficient alternative to bouin’s fixative. Comparatively, it produces less shrinkage and superior morphologic detail after application. It may be used in the preservation of eye tissue, bone marrow, fatty tissues from the breast and testis, as well as others for histological examination. Its versatility also makes it effective in the location of lymph nodes in radical dissection specimens, causing the glands to distinctively turn white.
The PREGNANCY-SKREEN™ Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) Positive and Negative controls are prepared from human based urine. These hCG controls can be used to monitor the performance of qualitative immunochromatographic hCG detection devices.
Hollande’s fixative is an excellent multi-purpose formalin providing numerous application benefits. Its cupric acetate component stabilizes red cell membranes, as well as eosinophils and endocrine cells in tissue samples as protection measures against lysis. It is often used in gastrointestinal and prostrate biopsies, but may also be used on bone marrow and any tissue containing a large amount of inflammatory or muscosa cells. For firmer tissue, Hollande’s fixative softens the structure to avoid brittle sectioning during microscopic examination.

Paraformaldehyde (PFA) is a multi-use solution. It is commonly used for research purposes, but may also be used to fix nervous and cardiovascular tissues after it has been depolymerized in a formaldehyde-based solution. It contains a neutral pH level between 6.8 and 7.2, ensuring that tissue applications retain their protoplasmic structures and details for microscopic examination. Our paraformaldehyde is unique in that it contains two aldehydes per molecule thus providing a stronger fixation.
Saccomanno fluid contains alcohol and carbo-wax which work in tandem to illuminate protoplasmic details, prevent air drying artifacts from obstructing fixated tissue samples, and provide long-term storage capabilities up to several days to weeks. It acts as a versatile cytology fixative often used on samples obtained through urine samples and bronchial washings. Other feasible surfaces include lung tissue, sputum specimen, and pleural and peritoneal fluids.
